Sayre Extended Day is an after-school enrichment program, serving Preschool and Lower School families who need child care beyond regular school hours.  Housed in the Lower School Building, Extended Day receives preschool and Lower School students beginning at 3:00 p.m. each day (2:10 p.m. on Tuesdays).  Extended Day offers a thematic curriculum for the children to enjoy, as well as free play time both outdoors and indoors.  Extended Day also offers an afternoon snack.  Various private and group lessons (piano, art, Bricks for Kids, soccer, etc.) are offered through Extended Day as well.

The Extended Day calendar closely follows that of the Lower School.  Therefore, Extended Day is closed for all regularly scheduled school holidays.  It is also closed when school is canceled for weather-related events.  However, on Lower School conference days, when the Lower School is closed to students, Extended Day operates an all-day program from 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.  These all-day programs have special activities distinct from the daily curriculum.  These days require pre-registration, as they are not included in the normal Extended Day fee schedule.
