HONOR OUR LEGACY

Sayre School has a long and storied history of providing exceptional education. Over the past 170 years, generations of students have walked through our halls, acquiring knowledge and developing the skills to make their marks on the world. Noted historical figures from Sayre’s ranks include Nobel laureate William Lipscomb, suffragette Laura Clay, and educational reformer Katherine Rebecca Pettit.

‌We honor the legacy of these and other Sayre graduates by:

  • Preserving and celebrating the traditions that have contributed to their success.
  • Maintaining high standards of academic rigor and fostering a love of learning.
  • Cultivating a diverse and inclusive environment that welcomes and celebrates all students.
  • Developing strong partnerships with parents, alumni, and the community.

CELEBRATE OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

Our alumni and parents are the backbone of Kentucky’s economy, driving growth and creating jobs across the state. From the coal mines to the tobacco fields to the racetracks, they are shaping the future of Kentucky’s most important industries. On a national and international scale, our alumni include physicians, engineers, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, authors, lawyers, actors, and scientists, many at the top of their fields.

Today’s graduates are equally impressive. 100% of graduates have been accepted to four-year colleges and universities. We celebrate their diverse talents and achievements, along with the dedication of our faculty and staff who inspire and support them.
