Monica Plut has been playing lacrosse since age nine, playing on the very first youth team in Marietta, Georgia.  She played varsity at Walton High School (2016 State Champions), and then founded the women's lacrosse program for the Eagles at Georgia Southern University.  In addition, Monica was the president of the women's lacrosse team for three years. The Eagles competed against various distinguished teams in the league including, University of Florida, Ole Miss and University of Georgia.  After graduating, she moved to Chicago and became the head coach of a varsity lacrosse team. The next step was a move to Lexington where she has spent the past two years as head coach of the Woodford County Lady Yellow Jackets.  She is currently the business transient manager at the Hyatt Regency of Lexington Downtown. Monica is the vice president of the Lexington YouMONth Lacrosse League, a US Lacrosse Level One Coaching Certification Trainer and was presented the Level One Certification at the US Lacrosse Convention in 2017.  She now joins Sayre School as the upper school girls' lacrosse coach.  Monica enjoys growing the sport of lacrosse in the Bluegrass Region as well as spending time with her cat, Meghan.
