Three senior candidates for the Global Studies Distinction presented their cap stone project. Madigan Stockham spoke of the cultural differences she experienced living with a host family on multiple trips to Spain, as well as the impact that the various Global Studies courses had on her outlook on personal and international relations. Calbi Brewer presented on the impact of her family's and her own vast travel experiences, and how they have shaped her thinking about her future academic, professional, and personal endeavors. Nicky Wu shared her research on the Cultural Revolution in China, and its modern day echo in strict censorship. Kudos and thanks to the three candidates for presenting such thoughtful and engaging projects. Co-chairs of the Global Studies Initiative: Toni Bishop and Linda Froehlich.
