Upper School students worked at 18 agencies in the community for Advisory Service Day. One group prepared lunches for Room at the Inn. Room in the Inn provides shelter and meals for the homeless during the coldest months of the year. Another group prepared sandwiches and brownies for the Hope Mobile. The Hope Mobile is the mobile unit for the Hope Center. The RV is parked at locations throughout downtown and provides food, personal supplies, and drug and alcohol counseling to individuals in need of assistance. Other service agencies served include: The Explorium, Living Arts and Science Center, Lexington Hearing and Speech, Lexington Fayette Urban Council Government, the Arboretum, Carnegie Center, Stride, Race for the Cure, Empty Bowls, Hope Lodge, The Nest, the Sayre Athletic Complex, Ronald McDonald House, Arlington Elementary, Kentucky Radio Eye, and God's Pantry. Madigan Stockham said, "It's a great way to get to know your advisory and contribute to the community." Ellie Webb and Nate Scudder agreed and added that the advisory groups choose where they want to serve with the greatest impact.
