Dear Sayre Family,
Although I'm certain your time during Spring Break was spent differently than you had originally anticipated, I hope you have all enjoyed some time off together and are ready to resume remote instruction tomorrow as planned. I know you look forward to the opportunity to reconnect with your classmates and members of our Sayre community!
I am writing to you today to share some news regarding our dear friend and leader, Stephen Manella. Mr. Manella has experienced a medical emergency, and will be taking a brief leave of absence as he recovers. The Board of Trustees has the utmost confidence in our Leadership Team and Faculty, and knows they will ensure we continue to move forward as a community. I know you will all join me in sending positive energy and love to the Manella family!
Again following the recommendation of Governor Beshear, our remote education plan will continue through May 1st. While we are separated physically, we are together in mind and spirit. Our ability to maintain community while delivering remote curriculum across all divisions is a testament to the admirable strength of Sayre's leadership, faculty, support staff, and students.
As our Board continues their work of the strategic vision for Sayre School, we are mindful that you - our families – are the heart of Sayre. Our community is resilient. We are stronger together. We are here for each other.
Sincerely,
Andrea Tew
Chair, Board of Trustees
