Dear Sayre Families, We received word last night that a Sayre parent tested positive for COVID-19. We have been in contact with the parent and the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department. Based on what we know about when the parent began showing symptoms, the Health Department feels the Sayre community is at no higher risk than anyone else in the general public. Our parent has permitted us to share these additional details. She has been in self-isolation since March 9th. Her symptoms are lessening, but she must remain in self-isolation until receiving medical clearance. Her family has tested negative for COVID-19. Her child is not showing any symptoms. Please know we are following Health Department recommendations in this correspondence and refraining from ID markers. For more information about the spread of the coronavirus, please continue to refer to the CDC and Kentucky Department for Public Health guidelines. We continue to advise the Sayre community to self-monitor for symptoms and to call the COVID-19 Hotline at (800) 722-5725 should you have questions about coronavirus. The health, safety and well-being of our community is our top priority. Stay Spartan Strong. Warmly,
Stephen Manella Head of School CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This email message, including any attachments, is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and privileged information.
