Sayre Athletic Facilities
Directions to Sayre School Athletic Fields
Practice and game fields as well as tennis courts are located at the Sayre Athletic Fields. From downtown Lexington take Main Street east out of town, go straight at the Jacobson Park stop light (don't bear right onto Old Richmond Road), go all the way to (and beyond) the 104 interchange of I-75 (the Athens-Lexington interchange), then after passing over I-75 turn left between Days Inn and La Quinta Inn onto Canebrake Drive. Go all the way down the hill where you will see a tobacco barn on your right – proceed .1 mile further and on your right is the entrance to the Sayre Athletic Fields. Park in one of the lots and walk past the tennis courts up the hill to the ball diamonds and main soccer/lacrosse field. Three additional soccer/lacrosse fields are located at the end of the parking lots, to your right.
Alternatively you can use I-75, taking the 104 exit and head away from Lexington (towards Athens), then turn left onto Canebrake Drive between Days Inn and La Quinta Inn.
Facility Rental: Our athletic facilities are available for rental by the public. The softball, soccer, baseball, and lacrosse fields, as well as tennis courts, are available most weekdays and weekends to Lexington area organizations. The Athletic Complex is also an excellent site for corporate picnics and gatherings. For more information contact Bill Hill, Athletic Director, at bhill@sayreschool.org or (859) 254-1361.
