French and Spanish Honor Societies celebrated their annual initiation ceremonies on May 16, 2012. Lydia Curtz, Sayre alumna, erstwhile member of the French Honor Society and current Match Grant Coordinator at the Kentucky Refugee Ministries, gave a wonderful address about her experience with language as a means to build trust with people from vastly different cultures.
The following members were initiated into the Spanish Honor Society: Devon Bellamy, Matthew Fahmy, Ellie Miller, Allen Prewitt, Wyatt Ockerman, Katelyn Sexton, Mikey Solomon, and Meg Talley.
The following members were initiated into the French Honor Society: Cavitt Bradley, Abby Clayton, Colleen Craven, Merrick Melear, and Nicholas Waltman.
