The Sayre Middle School Chorus competed in the Music in the Parks festival in Cincinnati on Saturday, May 19, 2012. Over 25 bands, choirs, orchestras, and show choirs in all age groups participated from all over the midwest, including KY, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, Michigan, Illinois, and more. Sayre's Middle School Chorus performed two songs in front of an audience and a panel of adjudicators and earned "Superior," which is the highest rating possible. They earned 1st place in their division, the second highest score among all choirs with middle school students only, and the third highest overall score of all musical ensembles who performed.
