Sayre Middle School hosted an event for senior citizens on April 28, 2010. Sayre Middle School
Student Council members invited residents from Ashland Terrace, Richmond Place, and Hartland
Hills to enjoy a morning of refreshments and entertainment. Sayre’s Middle
School students spent community service time preparing food, making
decorations, practicing a Kentucky-authored play, and rehearsing musical numbers to perform
for the senior citizens. Sayre’s students provided an enjoyable event and
made meaningful connections with senior citizens. Previous community service
projects have included working with Central Kentucky Riding for Hope, multiple
senior citizen and child care centers, God’s Pantry, Living Arts and Sciences
Center, Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning, and Moveable Feast. Pictures from the Event
