There are a variety of after school activities offered to Lower and Middle School students throughout the year. Lower School students may attend Extended Day, an after school enrichment program. Homework Clinic, a program designed to help with organization and study skills, is offered to both Lower and Middle School students. After School Study Hall, a proctored study hall, is also available to Middle School students.
The Extended Day calendar closely follows that of the Lower School. Therefore, Extended Day is closed for all regularly scheduled school holidays. It is also closed when school is canceled for weather-related events. However, on Lower School conference days, when the Lower School is closed to students, Extended Day operates an all-day program from 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. These all-day programs have special activities distinct from the daily curriculum. These days require pre-registration, as they are not included in the normal Extended Day fee schedule.
The Sayre Extended Day staff members are professionally prepared to meet the program goals and provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating experience for children after school.
