Preschool and Montessori

The first step into the child’s educational experience is the Preschool program. Sayre’s preschool begins with a class for three year olds, either in a traditional or in a Montessori program. During these early years, we teach to the whole child, keeping their physical, emotional, social, creative, and cognitive development in mind.  A guiding principle for the preschool faculty is that children are active learners who internalize information by interacting with their environment and with one another. We work toward establishing competence in our students by developing routines that promote independence.  Our preschool curriculum promotes curiosity, creativity, and a foundation for lifelong learning.

We have a dedicated staff of professionals who work hard to provide an academically sound, stimulating and challenging curriculum that comes alive on a daily basis. Through their commitment, the students are engaged in a learning process that addresses each child’s individual needs and learning style, thus helping them achieve their potential. Our classrooms are always places of excitement and energy where students learn the joy and importance of life-long learning.

You’ll find the excitement is contagious here at Sayre.
