Franklin's namesake was Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Winston's namesake was Winston Churchill.  Alice Schaff thought that big names might make these tiny Jack Russell, Beagle, Chihuahua mixes a bit bigger.

These puppies came to us from the Humane Society for two weeks in April 2009.   They spent their time in the arms of my students or playing in the grassy field outside my classroom.
