Honor Societies

Sayre is a member of the National Honor Society. To be eligible second semester sophomores must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA, juniors need a 3.25 cumulative GPA and seniors must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0. A list of students who qualify is posted at the beginning of the second semester. A faculty advisor and faculty council are appointed by the Upper School Director for the purpose of overseeing the society's activities and selection of new members, respectively. Selections are made by the faculty council on the basis of scholarship, outstanding character, service and leadership. Inductions into the society are normally held in late March.
